· OUR HISTORY

The Canadian Association of Skilled Trades is a new and exciting concept for worker representation. Our parent organization The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America was founded in 1881. The Carpenters union was established to better the working conditions of all workers and we remain true to this principle.

Our association is returning to the high standard of principles and representation that other organizations appear to have lost focus of.

· OUR MISSION

We look towards the future while meeting today's challenges. We provide our membership with the quality of representation, choices and the respect they deserve. We are committed to providing the best training possible for our members, enabling them to be the most qualified workers available.
